Danish defender Joachim Andersen was a real revelation during his loan spell from Olympique Lyonnais, stabilising a previously shambolic Fulham back four by forging a fine partnership with fellow deadline day signing Tosin Adarabioyo. Andersen’s impact was illustrated by the way he graduated to captaining the side after just a weeks at the club and his positioning and reading of the game was second to none. Andersen joined Crystal Palace after Fulham’s relegation, but returned to Craven Cottage in August 2024 for £30m.
