Ademola Lookman has joined Fulham on a season-long loan from Red Bull Leipzig, the club have confirmed this afternoon.

Lookman, who came through the Charlton academy, has struggled to replicate the successes of his initial loan spell in Germany and made just thirteen appearances for Leipzig last season. He was left out of Leipzig’s squad for their draw with Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend as discussions continued about a return to London.

The 22 year-old, who spent three seasons at Goodison Park before moving to Germany, told Fulham’s official website at his delight upon finalising the deal:

I’m glad to have it over the line and done now. I’m glad I can be here to help the team. After the conversations I had with Scott Parker, I got a great feeling, that’s the working relationship I want to have. He’s young and hungry and I’m young and hungry as well so it’s a good match.
