Fulham’s under 23s got their Premier League 2 campaign off to a perfect start with a 4-0 win at Reading this afternoon.

The visitors got off to a great start when Sylvester Jasper, who signed a new contract with the Whites earlier this summer, gave them the lead inside five minutes – converting a Fabio Carvalho cross after a clever ball from Luca Murphy prised open the Royals defence. Eight minutes later, it was 2-0 with Carvalho providing the finishing touch to Jean-Pierre Tiehi’s excellent approach work.

Carvalho grabbed his second on the stroke of half-time after a neat exchange of passes with Jayden Harris and Jasper scrambled home the fourth just after the break when Carvalho’s free-kick had been saved by Coniah Boyce-Clarke.
