Nottingham Forest are close to completing a deal to sign Fulham full back Cyrus Christie, according to BBC Radio Nottingham.
The Republic of Ireland international has been deemed as surplus to requirements at Craven Cottage following the summer signings of Kenny Tete and Ola Aina. A deal to take the 28 year-old defender to the City Ground could be finalised by the weekend.
Christie, who joined Fulham from Middlesbrough on the final day of the January transfer window in 2018, has been part of two promotion-winning sides but has struggled to nail down a regular starting position at the club. He has made 67 first-team appearances for Fulham, scoring twice – with one being a memorable winner at QPR last season.
NFC will be getting a good fast RB player and Christie deserves to be with good club. He has had some really good moments and served club well . Best of Luck Cyrus.
Wish him all the best been a good pro for us had some hard times with fans unfairly in my view, to come back strong. Having his best season with us just gone. And comes over a top guy
Once a sheep always a sheep.
