Leeds are ready to test Fulham’s resolve to keep hold of their promotion-winning hero Joe Bryan by submitting an offer for the full back, according to reports this morning.

The Elland Road side are apparently encouraged by Fulham’s pursuit of Wigan defender Antonee Robinson, who has undertaken a medical at Motspur Park ahead of a proposed move to London, and believe Bryan could be available for transfer as a result. Marcelo Bielsa is keen to add reinforcements at left back ahead of United’s return to the Premier League and has earmarked the 26 year-old as a leading target.

Bryan, whose brilliant brace against Brentford at Wembley secured Fulham’s immediate return to the top flight, told the Athletic in the aftermath of the play-off final that had unfinished business after his last experience in the Premier League and was keen to stay with the Whites. The attacking full-back has been Scott Parker’s first choice at left back, making eighty appearances since signing for Bristol City in August 2018, including three goals and seven assists in 46 appearances over the past season. He has previously interested Leicester as well as Southampton and Atalanta, who both have offers rejected during the January transfer window.

Leeds have already successfully secured the services of one Fulham full-back this summer, with teenager Cody Drameh moving to Elland Road for a fee believed to be in the region of £1m.
