Fulham are among a number of Premier League clubs considering a move for Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe, according to the Independent.

It is far from certain that the Gunners will allow the talented 20 year-old to leave the Emirates, with Mikel Arteta previously intimating he was excited to work with the England under-20 international. Smith Rowe shone on loan at Huddersfield in the second half of last season, being afforded the chance to play in his preferred number ten role, after an injury-plagued loan spell at RB Leipzig was cut short earlier in the year.

Smith Rowe, who scored in Huddersfield’s defeat at Craven Cottage in February almost inspiring an improbable comeback from 3-0 down, has attracted interest from Monaco – whose sporting director Paul Mitchell was integral in taking the youngster to Germany – as well as Crystal Palace and Fulham. But the Independent also suggests that completing the capture of Harrison Reed, who spent last season on loan at Craven Cottage from Southampton, remains Fulham’s first priority.
