Fulham are among a string of Premier League clubs keen on taking Rhian Brewster on loan from Liverpool, according to reports this morning.

The 20 year-old striker enjoyed an outstanding end to the Championship campaign whilst on loan at Swansea, scoring 11 goals in 22 as Steve Cooper’s side reached the play-offs. Brewster has now joined up with Liverpool’s pre-season tour in Austria and, while he has spoken of his desire to prove himself to Jurgen Klopp and compete for first-team football at Anfield, the club reportedly view a Premier League loan as the next step in the England youth international’s development.

Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Brighton have all registered an interest in taking Brewster on loan, while Fulham are also monitoring the forward’s availability following their promotion to the Premier League. Aleksandar Mitrovic shouldered the goalscoring burden for Scott Parker’s side in the Championship, scoring 26 goals in an outstanding campaign, but Brewster could bolster their striking resources with only Aboubakar Kamara, regularly used as a winger this season, Bobby Decordova-Reid and teenage sensation Jay Stansfield as recognised strikers in Fulham’s squad currently.

Brewster, born in Dagenham, won the golden boot when he fired England’s Under 17s to World Cup glory in 2017. He came through Chelsea’s academy before making the switch to Liverpool in 2015 and made his senior debut for the Reds in a League Cup tie against MK Dons in September 2019.
