Fulham are considering joining the race for wantaway Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure, according to the Evening Standard.
Everton have already had an offer rejected for Doucoure by Watford, who are believed to be holding out for £25m, but the Goodison Park are expected to return with a second bid. The Merseyside club have been keen to sign the powerful midfielder for a long time and Doucoure is eager to remain in the top flight following the Hornets’ relegation.
The Standard suggests that both Fulham and Wolves are also interested in signing the 27 year-old, who has made 141 appearances in four seasons at Vicarage Road. He was voted Watford’s player of the season in 2017/2018 and was part of the side that reached the FA Cup final the following year, earning plaudits for his dynamic displays in the middle of the park.
Great player with some injury history. I prefer keeping a 24 year old Anguissa vs selling him and buying a 27 year old Doucoure
Agree with Matt here. Anguissa has just had a good season in La Liga and has already been an integral part of the FFC squad during the last EPL campaign so the time to get him integrated in the squad would be faster.
Also I don’t think FFC could get enough selling Anguissa to buy Doucoure so does not make sense – if not careful could end up with exactly the same 2 players…
I agree with the above. we should be looking at another Peterborough player Ivan Toney as back up/help for Mitro.
Toney would be a great player to get his young strong and quick . Really hope we get this one over line.
I agree with u guys he had a good season but Doucoure is a good playmaker which we need so it will be a tough decision
I dint have any faith in our recruitment policy with Daddys little boy playing at a job that should be a professionals !!!
Unsure this season gone up early chambers babel groundhog day plus lack of atmosphere 3 sided ground moneysok of course give lads chance unlike last fiasco but then that’s fulham!!!!!
