Leeds United have this afternoon confirmed the capture of promising Fulham right back Cody Drameh for a fee believed to be in the region of £1m.

The England youth international has signed a four-year contract at Elland Road, with Fulham tempted to sell the teenager by the fact that he was entering into the final year of his deal at Craven Cottage. The 18 year-old was highly rated at Motspur Park, having come through the club’s academy to make seventeen appearances for Fulham’s under 23 side last season having shaken off injury concerns.

Drameh’s pathway to the first team was hampered by the presence of Steven Sessegnon and Marlon Fossey, both considered strong prospects, as well as the likes of Denis Odoi and Cyrus Christie, who are firmly established in Scott Parker’s senior squad. Reports detailing Leeds’ interest in the England under-18 international earlier this summer suggested that Marcelo Bielsa envisaged a first-team chance for Drameh should he sign for the Championship title winners.
