Beskitas have begun discussions with Fabri’s representatives about a potential deal to take the Fulham goalkeeper back to Turkey, according to reports this afternoon.

The Spanish goalkeeper is apparently keen to return to Besiktas, whom he helped win the Turkish title in 2017, and the Black Eagles are hopeful of reaching an agreement with Fulham. Besiktas are keen to recruit a new goalkeeper after the end of Loris Karius’ loan from Liverpool and, although they are unlikely to be able to match the 32 year-old’s current wages, they believe offering the former Deportivo and Betis goalkeeper first team football and the success of his previous spell in Istanbul may prove tempting.

Fabri, who joined Fulham for a reported £5m in July 2018, made just two first-team appearances before being dropped after defeats by Crystal Palace and Tottenham. He was loaned out to Mallorca last season but made just one league start and is not thought to feature in Scott Parker’s plans for the forthcoming campaign.
