Fulham are set to take a massive financial hit on midfielder Jean Michael Seri.

The Ivory Coast international is due to land in Istanbul today to complete a loan move to Galatasaray.

The Turkish giants are to pay just a £1.3million 12-month loan fee to Fulham, who shelled out a staggering £25m to Ligue 1 side Nice a year ago.

Galatasaray will also have an option to buy Seri, who made 32 Premier League appearances but only delivered three assists and scored one goal.

But the final transfer fee, if it is made permanent, will not be anything near the massive amount paid by Fulham, who beat off Chelsea and Arsenal to land Seri on wages of about £35,000-a-week.

After arriving at Craven Cottage, Seri showed some promising signs but struggled physically.

At Galatasaray, he will link up with Ryan Babel, who has just moved from Fulham, signing a three-year deal.
