Fulham are lining up a loan move for the talented Chelsea teenager Trevoh Chalobah.

The nineteen year-old, who can play either in central defence or midfield, spent the 2018/2019 season with Ipswich, scoring twice in 43 appearances, in an ultimately disappointing campaign for the Portman Road club, who were relegated. Chalobah, the younger brother of Watford midfielder Nathaniel, has been linked with a loan move to West Brom already this summer and is likely to be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge on a temporary basis again to further his development.

Fulham successfully utilised the loan market during their last spell in the Championship and twice took Tomas Kalas and Lucas Piazon on loan from their local rivals. Chalobah, who was part of the England under-19 squad that won the European Championships in 2017 alongside Ryan Sessegnon, starred in the Chelsea youth set-up but has struggled for an opportunity at senior level, despite being named on the bench for the FA Cup final win over Manchester United in 2018 by Antonio Conte.
