Chelsea defender Gary Cahill, who was linked with a return to Villa Park in the January transfer window, will once again be the subject of an offer from Chelsea’s West London rivals Fulham this summer.

Cahill has been at Stamford Bridge since 2012 and has made just shy of 300 appearances, winning an array of trophies in that time.

The 33-year-old was permitted a transfer in January, but ultimately stayed put.

Clearly not part of Maurizio Sarri’s plans, Cahill has played seven matches this season – including 21 minutes of Premier League football – and not at all since the end of November.
