Fulham have emerged as the most likely destination for Inter outcast Gabriel Barbosa in the January transfer window, according to Libero.

Barbosa signed for Inter in the summer of 2016 but endured a disastrous first season in Milan, making just 10 first-team appearances and scoring one goal.

He is due to return to the club for training next week following the termination of his 12-month loan with childhood side Santos, but the Nerazzurri have no interest in keeping the 22-year-old for the remainder of the season.

Gabigol’ would like to stay in Italy and prove his worth to coach Luciano Spalletti but Inter have already set a €20 million price tag for the Brazilian forward.

West Ham were linked with a move last week, but they would first need to sell two players in order to make room for him in the squad.

Fulham, who are now managed by former Inter boss Claudio Ranieri, are therefore tipped as a side who could meet Suning’s asking price.
