Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic scored twice as Serbia drew 2-2 with Romania in the Nations’ League on Monday night.

He put the Serbians ahead by firing home after a messy goalmouth scramble but Nicolae Stanciu levelled matters shortly after half-time for Romania from the penalty spot. Mitrovic restored his side’s advantage with a terrific strike, when he held off three defenders with a classical bit of centre forward play before burying a brilliant volley on the turn but Serbia were denied a win by  Marius George Tucudean’s equaliser.

Serbia remain top of Group 4 in League C after they beat Lithuania on Friday.
