Fulham and Crystal Palace are interested in bringing French midfielder Yann M’Vila back to the Premier League, according to various reports this afternoon.

Reports from France claim that both Palace and Fulham have registered their interest in signing M’Vila with Saint Etienne. The English clubs will apparently face stiff competition from several Chinese Super League sides, who have the financial clout to offer a substantial wage packet, also keen on recruiting the French international. M’Vila, who made 37 appearances for Sunderland during a loan spell at the Stadium of Light in the 2015/2016 season, has been capped 22 times for France and might be considered as a strong competitor for Kevin McDonald’s spot at the base of the Fulham midfield.

The 28 year-old midfielder’s current contract with Saint Etienne expires next summer and M’Vila is rumoured to be keen to return to England. The French press suggest that Saint Etienne would be willing to allow M’Vila to leave provided they receive ‘a good offer’ – with the powerful midfielder, who only returned to France from Rubin Kazan in January, valued at around £6m.
