Welsh winger George Williams was dreadfully unlucky with injuries during his time at Craven Cottage where he was not able to stay fit long enough to show more than fleeting glimpses of his doubted potential. The wide man had starred for Fulham’s academy outfit under Kit Symons and made an exciting transition into the senior side once Symons was handed the reigns after Felix Magath’s awful start to the 2014/15 season. Williams’ progress was recognised by Chris Coleman, who included him in the Welsh side that reached the semi finals of Euro 2016, but he was eventually released by Fulham after six frustrating seasons spent mostly on the sidelines.
