Fulham are considering a loan move for Liverpool midfielder Marco Grujic, who was promoted from the Championship with Cardiff City last season, according to various press reports.

Liverpool are keen to send their Serbian midfielder out on loan again and Fulham are rumoured to be interested in bringing him to Craven Cottage. The 22 year-old midfielder, who has been named in Serbia’s squad for this summer’s World Cup in Russia, burst to prominence with a string of fine displays for Red Star Belgrade as a teenager but has struggled to make the breakthrough at Anfield, making just eight league appearances in two years.

Slavisa Jokanovic is known to be looking for midfield reinforcements as he plans for Fulham’s return to the top flight and will know of his young compatriot’s ability. Grujic made twelve appearances as the Bluebirds won automatic promotion ahead of Fulham last month and he could offer both physical protection for the back four and the sort of passing prowess that the Fulham head coach prizes. Grujic, who helped Serbia’s under 20 side win the 2015 World Cup in New Zealand, has been tipped to be one of the stars of this summer’s tournament – so the Whites may need to move fast in order to secure his signature.
