Ryan Sessegnon has received yet more recognition for his fabulous season with Fulham by being shortlisted for the PFA’s Young Player of the Year award – becoming the first nominee from outside the top flight since the awards began in 1983.

The seventeen year-old, who has fourteen goals in 45 appearances for Fulham this season, has been nominated alongside Manchester City trio Ederson, Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford as well as Tottenham’s Harry Kane.

Sessegnon, who has been linked with a whole host of leading European clubs, is expected to feature for Fulham in tonight’s crunch local derby with Brentford as they continue their push for automatic promotion back to the Premier League. The teenage winger has already scooped a double at this year’s London Football Awards and made his England under-21 international debut during a stunning season.
