Icelandic international Ragnar Sigurdsson was signed on the back of a brilliant Euro 2016 campaign, where he famously scored against England as Roy Hodgson’s side made an ignominious second round exit. Sigurdsson didn’t deliver anything like his best form at Craven Cottage – admitting afterwards that he wasn’t as professional as he should have been whilst in London – featuring just seventeen times and scoring once (a Boxing Day goal at Ipswich Town) before signing for FC Rostov in January 2018.
