Fulham have confirmed the signing of Middlesbrough full back Cyrus Christie pending deadline day clearance.

The attacking right back has put pen to paper on a three-year contract, with Fulham holding an option to extend that deal by a further year. Christie only moved to the Riverside Stadium last summer and made 25 league appearances for Middlesbrough, but manager Tony Pulis considered him surplus to requirements after taking over at Boro.

Fulham vice chairman and director of football operations Tony Khan said: “I am very excited to welcome Cyrus into the Fulham family on a three-and-a-half-year deal. He is a fantastic young player who brings both an international pedigree and a wealth of Championship experience with him. I can’t wait for him to join us and help the squad continue to push for promotion.”

The Republic of Ireland international is in line to make his Fulham debut against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
