Slavisa Jokanovic has challenged his side to secure more success at Craven Cottage – and the Serbian wants to deliver three points to the Fulham faithful against Preston North End tomorrow.

The Whites have been far more successful on their travels than at Craven Cottage this term, with their two league home successes leaving their with the second worst record in the Championship. Speaking at his Motspur Park press conference ahead of Fulham’s return to action, Jokanovic was emphatic that Fulham’s home had to improve.

The Fulham head coach said:

We haven’t given the fans enough good results at Craven Cottage. “For some reason we play better quality football in away games. We need to mark our territory and show the people that we can be strong at our home. We can’t give the opposition a chance to breathe, we must put them under stress and play with a bit more confidence in our stadium.

Jokanovic was fulsome in his praise for Preston’s start under Alex Neil and is expecting a real test of Fulham’s credentials as a side fancying a promotion push.

They play very well, they started the Championship well and have lost only one game in this competition, in August against Derby, and they’re going to arrive with huge confidence and they’ll try and win the game.

It’s a completely different Preston compared to last season. They’re now an attacking team, they try and play in the opposition’s half, they attack with many players, they press brilliantly. It’s an aggressive team who play with desire and ambition. From our side, we’re ready for this kind of challenge, and it’s going to be a good test for us, and a good test for them too.
