Slavisa Jokanovic wants his Fulham side to continue where they left off against Ipswich and dent another flawless start to the season – this time when league leaders Cardiff City visit Craven Cottage tomorrow.

The Serbian head coach was full of praise for Bluebirds manager Neil Warnock, who was today handed the Championship Manager of the Month award for August, and Cardiff’s excellent start to the campaign which has seen them storm to the top of the table, with striker Junior Hoilett and summer signing Nathaniel Mendez-Laing to the fore. Jokanovic told his pre-match press conference at Motspur Park:

Neil Warnock is a fantastic manager. He’s got experience of being promoted. This season is long but Cardiff have started fantastically. We want to try and put an end to this run for them. We know how just hard it is to play against Cardiff; a physical, strong team. They are very intense and full of confidence.

The Fulham boss is hoping his side can test victory at Craven Cottage for the first time this season tomorrow afternoon, but knows the task will not be easy.

It’s important to get the first home win. Tomorrow is a great chance for us, but it’s always important to win the game.
