Goalscorer Ryan Fredericks says Fulham’s victory in the west London derby last night shows the Whites can scrap their way to success.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s side had to withstand some serious QPR pressure during a prolonged spell of injury time after Conor Washington had halved the hosts’ arrears but Fulham held firm to secure their second away win in thee days. The right back, whose deflected effort in the first half, had put the Whites in front, was delighted with his side’s spirit.

Fredericks told Sky Sports after the final whistle:

It was scrappy towards the end. They brought on big Matt Smith and to be fair he caused carnage at the end, but we held on.

Teams have got to come onto us and we’ve got the players to play on the counter-attack. It took us a few weeks to get into our stride, but we’ve shown we can scrap it out too.
