Fulham have signed French winger Yohan Mollo on a free transfer.

The former Zenit St Petersburg forward has agreed an initial one-year contract at Craven Cottage with the option to extend the deal by a further season. The 28 year-old was available on a free after reaching an agreement with the Russian side to cancel his contract having made just eight first-team appearances since signing for Zenit in January.

Mollo told Fulham’s official website: “I am really happy and excited about the project. I have an opportunity to play in England and to play with a club with great history like Fulham with some great players. It’s a big opportunity for me and I am looking forward to getting started.”

Fulham moved to sign Mollo after the serious injury suffered by Lucas Piazon during the draw at Cardiff City.
