Likeable midfielder Lasse Vigen Christensen showed enormous promise having broken into the Fulham first team once academy boss Kit Symons was promoted to succeed Felix Magath in the Craven Cottage dug out. The Danish under-21 international made his debut in an FA Cup tie at Norwich in January 2014, but got his break in the senior side after injuries to experienced midfielders hit during the 2014/15 campaign. He had an exceptional first season in first-team football, scoring five times in 25 league appearances, and attracting interest from Aston Villa.
Christensen was never the same after being rushed back from a hamstring injury and found his opportunities limited at Fulham once Slavisa Jokanovic brought in engine room reinforcements. He went on loan to Burton Albion and, after scoring the goal that knocked Premier League Middlesbrough out of the League Cup, was sold to Brondby in July 2017.
