Young midfielder Tayo Edun has signed a new contract with Fulham that will keep him at Craven Cottage until 2020.

Edun, whose previous contract with the Whites expired this summer, is highly-rated at Motspur Park and his three-year contract shows the confidence that Slavisa Jokanovic has in his ability. The 19 year-old, who has been with Fulham for more than eight years, made his senior debut for the club in last season’s EFL Cup victory at Leyton Orient and went on to make three first-team appearances for Fulham last season.

The versatile midfielder, who can play on the left side of midfield as well as in a more central role and at left back, enjoyed a superb summer as he starred in the England under-19 side, alongside fellow Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon, who won the European Under-19 Championships in Georgia earlier this month. Edun has now set his sights firmly on breaking into the first-team over the coming season and he did his chances of doing so no harm with an excellent display in last night’s friendly defeat against West Ham in Austria.
