Reports from Belgium suggest that Fulham could finally conclude a deal to sign the Standard Liege midfielder Ibrahima Cisse today.

The 23 year-old, who was the subject of a number of Fulham bids during the January transfer window, has reportedly travelled to London this morning to finalise the details of a permanent move to England. Cisse, who can also play at right back, would join compatriot Denis Odoi at Craven Cottage should he complete the permanent transfer that has been widely trailed in the Belgian media today. The Whites appear to have seen off serious interest from Italian top flight side Palermo, who were hoping to add Cisse to their squad this week.

The former Belgium under-21 international, who starred in Standard’s Europa League campaign last season, would be another recruit from that neck of the woods for Fulham, who have successfully brought in both Odoi and winger Neeksens Kebano from Belgian football over the past year. Cisse has made 52 appearances for Liege, having impressed previously with KV Mechelen in domestic football, and would provide tough-tackling cover for the likes of Kevin McDonald at the base of the Fulham midfield following the retirement of Scott Parker.
