Slavisa Jokanovic has been nominated for the Championship manager of the month award after Fulham’s fine February breathed new life into their promotion push.

The Serbian head coach oversaw four league wins from six games during the calendar month to lift Fulham to just outside the play-off places and also signed a new contract to keep him at Craven Cottage until 2017. Jokanovic’s side recorded impressive away wins at Burton and Bristol City, whilst edging entertaining home encounters against Wigan Athletic and Nottingham Forest. It is Jokanovic’s second nomination for the SkyBet Championship award, after he was also put for December’s honour.

The Fulham boss is up against Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez, Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner and Preston’s Simon Grayson. The judging panel is made up of former Ipswich manager George Burley, the Sky Sports’ pundit Don Goodman, the LMA’s manager director Olaf Dixon, marketing director Drew Barrand from the EFL and Sky Bet’s football trading manager Paul Lowery. The winner will be announced tomorrow morning.
