Scott Parker is enjoying a rare settled period at Fulham after his whirlwind of experiences at Craven Cottage.

The former England captained went through three managers and a relegation in his first season before having to intercede to mitigate against some of Felix Magath’s worst excesses and prevent a squad revolt. Things are much calmer under Slavisa Jokanovic and Parker believes the stability is helping the Whites deliver results on the pitch.

“We bought in quality players and we’re not Jekyll and Hyde like the last few years – we’ve found a bit more consistency,” Parker said. “I’ve been here four years, and obviously it’s not been the best with me not being in a struggling side some times. But now being in a successful team would be a massive highlight.”
