Scottish striker Ross McCormack has joined Aston Villa from Fulham, the London club have confirmed.

The 29-year-old, who moved to Craven Cottage two summers ago, has been the subject of speculation throughout the summer. McCormack has signed a four-year contract at Villa Park after the Midlands club had a bid – believed to be in the region of £12m – accepted on Wednesday afternoon.

McCormack joined Fulham from Leeds in the summer of 2014 for a reported £11m. He went on to score 42 goals in 100 appearances for the Whites. He was twice voted Fulham’s player of the season and was named in the Championship team of the season.
