Fulham have been linked for a move for Watford full-back Juan Carlos Paredes, according to a report from the Latin American football website Bolavip.

The 29 year-old defender has been told by head coach Walter Mazzarri that he has no future at Vicarage Road having been left out of the club’s pre-season tour to Austria and missed on the Hornets’ last few pre-season friendlies. He had been heavily linked with a summer move to Turkish side Trabzonspor but remains on the look out for a new club after that deal didn’t materialise.

A regular in the Ecuadorian national side, Parades has made 56 appearances for Watford and helped the Hornets earn promotion from the Championship in 2014-2015 under current Fulham head coach Slavisa Jokanovic. The Serbian could be looking for cover at right back after Ryan Fredericks was ruled out for the first ten weeks of the season having been injured in a pre-season friendly against Brighton and academy graduate Sean Kavanagh, usually a left back, was deployed on the right side of defence in the EFL Cup victory over Leyton Orient last night.
