Fulham are showing a serious interest in Malmo full back Anton Tinnerholm, according to reports in Sweden this afternoon.
Swedish websites have suggested that Tinnerholm, the 25 year-old right back, has been flattered by the attention from an unnamed English Championship club, now disclosed as Fulham by Fotbollskanal. Slavisa Jokanovic may be looking for additional cover in the full back positions following the injury sustained by Ryan Fredericks and Tinnherholm has professed himself open to a move to England at some point in the future.
The 5’9” defender won the title with Malmo in 2014 and has been a regular in the side at right back, where he has shown great pace and determination. He has won six caps for his country and also helped him his first club, Avitaberg, win promotion to the Swedish top flight as champions back in 2011. Tinnerholm, who has European experience in the Champions’ League where he refused the chance to swap shirts with Ronaldo, can also play on the right side of midfield and is currently contracted to Malmo until December 2017.
