Former Tottenham trainee Jamie O’Hara commenced his Fulham career in such a composed manner that this correspondent christened him ‘the Putney Pirlo’ (admittedly with my tongue in my cheek). O’Hara’s Craven Cottage development stalled and then careered off the rails as a public row with his ex-wife interrupted his effectiveness in midfield and a lack of fitness made him almost unselectable in the eyes of Slavisa Jokanovic. It came as little surprise when Fulham released him after a season that had began with such promise petered out so pitifully.
