Towering defender Dan Burn signed for Fulham for around £350,000 from Darlington in April 2011. He captained Fulham’s youth team before being handed his debut against Norwich City in the FA Cup in January 2014. Burn made his Premier League debut at Arsenal later that month before memorably heading away the majority of 81 Manchester United crosses in a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford. He ended the season at right back at Stoke – a damning indictment of Felix Magath’s management.
Burn featured prominently in the Championship for Fulham in two further underwhelming campaigns before being released by Slavisa Jokanovic in May 2016. He is now playing Premier League football again at his native Newcastle United.
