Fulham have signed PSV Eindhoven academy product Zakaria Labyad on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder, who has moved to Craven Cottage from Portuguese giants Sporting, plays his international football for Morocco.

Labyad believes his style will suit Slavisa Jokanovic’s footballing philosophy. “That’s a reason why they brought me to Fulham, because I like to play football,” he told the club’s official website. Especially combination football, that’s the main thing, not just kick and rush! I’m an attacking player, I’m a creative player, I can score goals, and I’m a team player. Yes, I hope the fans will like my football style, but of course the most important thing is to win games.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge of playing in the UK. I’m very happy to play for Fulham. I’m on loan now and I’m very happy to be here. I’ve followed this club since Martin Jol was coach and since then I’ve always been following the football here in the UK. It’s always been a dream to play in the UK.”
