Chris Baird is urging Fulham to put together a string of consistent performances ahead of Tuesday night’s Leeds clash at Elland Road.

The midfielder only re-joined the Whites on loan on Thursday but played the second half of the 3-0 win against relegation-threatened Charlton.

But Fulham have developed a habit of following up victories with defeats, and it is one which Baird hopes he can help quash.

The 33-year-old said: “That’s the issue now. We have to eradicate mistakes, and away from home be more solid.

“But we’ll go there with confidence after today’s win. The players that have been here know this experience, they’ve won 3-1 (against QPR) then lost 3-0 (at Blackburn).

“We will be hoping that that doesn’t happen again, everyone will be working hard together and trying to put in another good performance and another good result.”
