Arsenal remain interested in Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon, despite failing to prise him away from Craven Cottage on deadline day.

Fulham gave the Gunners’ approach for the England under-16 skipper short shrift as they are determined to hold onto one of the most promising young talents in the game. Sessegnon, who has been compared favourably to Gareth Bale, is highly-rated at Motspur Park and is believed to be happy at the club.

Arsenal tried to use their own teenager Serge Gnabry as a makeweight in the deal according to the Daily Mirror and are intending to try and beat another Premier League rivals to the punch by resurrecting their bid to lure Sessegnon to north London in the summer.
