Fulham midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe is facing a further 10 weeks on the sidelines after he underwent hamstring surgery.

The 22-year-old Manchester United academy graduate has made 15 appearances for the managerless Whites this season.

Tunnicliffe has not featured since being forced off during last month’s 1-1 draw at MK Dons, where he sustained a hamstring injury that first-team physiotherapist Chris Hanson confirmed has required surgery.

“Obviously Ryan’s been missing since sustaining a rupture to his left hamstring which needed to be operated on,” Hanson said.

“The procedure was successful and we expect a period of rehabilitation of up to three months, which we are already two weeks into.”
