Fulham midfielder Thomas Eisfeld is in the process of completing a move from Fulham to Bochum, ending a difficult 12 months at Craven Cottage.
The German joined the Whites last summer from Arsenal, where he made just two appearances in the League Cup.
Felix Magath brought the 22-year-old to west London last summer but Eisfeld only made seven league appearances for the Whites.
He joined Bochum in February 2015 on a month’s loan and he will be returning to Germany again this summer.
Kit Symons confirmed: “Thomas will be joining Bochum where he was on loan last year. I’m pleased for him. He had a decent pre-season with us but I think he needed that fresh start.”
He now returns to Bochum, whose squad also includes ex-Fulham defender Tim Hoogland.
