Fulham defender Josh Passley wants to prove a point after joining Shrewsbury Town on loan.
The 20-year-old arrived at Greenhous Meadow on Thursday after being snapped up by boss Micky Mellon before the emergency loan window slammed shut.
A flying full-back, Passley signed after fellow Cottager Jack Grimmer was recalled to the Championship outfit on Monday.
And now the defender, who has made three appearances for the Fulham first team, is looking to show what he can do with a regular run of games in League Two.
“I’m here to prove a point – both to Shrewsbury and also to Fulham,” he said.
“This is my first loan. It’s a big move for me and I want to get a run of games, pick up results and play well. I want to show everyone I am a good player.
“I had my first training session on Thursday and it went really well.
“I got to spend some time with the lads and they really are a great bunch. It went really well.”
He has big shoes to fill as he looks to replace his Fulham team-mate Grimmer, who made an instant impression at the Meadow.
“I know Jack well and in some ways we are similar players, but in some ways we are different,” Passley said.
“I think I am more of an attacking player and I know the boss here likes to play with wing-backs.
That is a position I have played before and I feel it suits my strengths.”
