West Bromwich Albion are considering a move to bring Kieran Richardson back to The Hawthorns.

The Baggies have also been alerted to the availability of one-time loanee Richardson, who was part of the Fulham squad relegated from the Premier League.

The 29-year-old, who has one year left on his current deal, can play in a number of positions in midfield but has primarily been used as a left-back by Fulham.

Albion have made initial enquiries about his availability but are exploring many options before deciding who to pursue to fill the left full-back position, although his versatility would certainly appeal to the club.

Richardson was a popular member of Bryan Robson’s Great Escape campaign nine years ago, spending half-a-season at The Hawthorns following a loan move from Manchester United.

He scored the second goal in Albion’s survival-clinching 2-0 victory against Portsmouth.
