Fulham manager Felix Magath has assured Ryan Tunnicliffe and Larnell Cole they have a future at Fulham.

The duo, signed permanently from Manchester United on deadline day by former boss Rene Meulensteen, were sent out on loan this week after less than a month at Craven Cottage.

Tunnicliffe, who signed a three-and-a-half year deal in SW6, has joined Wigan Athletic for the rest of the season, while Cole has hooked up with League One outfit MK Dons.

Magath is relying on Fulham’s old heads to steer them to Premier League survival, but insists he will try to develop the club’s youngsters next campaign.

Asked whether Tunnicliffe and Cole have a future at Craven Cottage, Magath said: “Yes, sure. After the season it’s a new situation.

“They are very talented, but now is the time we need players that are experienced and make less faults. A young player has to make faults to develop.”
