Philippe Senderos has left Fulham for La Liga side Valencia on transfer deadline day.

The Swiss centre back had struggled at Craven Cottage during Fulham’s dismal season and had spoken of his desire to leave after falling out of favour with new boss Rene Meulensteen. The 28 year-old made 68 first-team appearances for the Whites after joining on a free transfer from Arsenal in the summer of 2010 and has completed a permanent switch to Valencia, who are currently tenth in the Spanish top flight.
