Fulham have agreed a fee with Olympiakos for striker Kostas Mitroglou according to Sky Sports.

Fulham have been holding talks with Olympiakos throughout the week and edged closer to a deal after settling on a fee, believed to be in the region of £12.5million.

Mitroglou’s arrival would give the Cottagers some much-needed firepower in their battle against relegation.

The 6ft 1in Mitroglou has been in prolific form this season, scoring 21 goals in 23 appearances for club and country, including four hat-tricks.

He scored three as Greece beat Romania in the World Cup qualifying play-offs to secure their place at Brazil 2014.

Fulham will be hoping he can make a big impact as they are languishing in the drop-zone after Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat at Swansea.
