Fulham are hopeful that Dimitar Berbatov will pass a fitness test tomorrow and play a part in their trip to Hull City.

The Bulgarian striker has missed their last two games after injuring his groin in training and head coach Rene Meulensteen has used Adel Taraabt as a lone forward in his absence. The Moroccan is ready to lead the line at the KC Stadium on Saturday, but Berbatov’s recovery has progressed nicely and Meulensteen remains optimistic that the former Manchester United forward could make his return against Steve Bruce’s side.

There is a chance [that Berbatov will be back]. He’s still not 100 per cent but again he’s improved. Hopefully he will pass the test.
