Kerim Frei, a winger with a whole box of tricks, made his senior debut for Fulham in a Europa League qualifier against Faroese part-timers NSI Runavik in July 2011. The teenager was promoted to the first team squad by an impressed Martin Jol, who won a penalty on his domestic debut against Chelsea in the League Cup. He injected pace and positivity into an adventurous Fulham side, but struggled for consistency after a bright start. Frei’s only goal for the club came on the night they exited the Europa League following a dramatic draw with Odense and he was sold to Beskitas in September 2013 after failing to nail down a spot in Fulham’s starting eleven.
