Australian midfielder Tyrese Francois, the inaugural winner of the Johnny Haynes’ Fulham Supporters’ Trust academy player of the year, made his Fulham debut in the League Cup defeat by Southampton in August 2019 and was handed a first Premier League appearance on the final day of the 2020/21 campaign by Scott Parker. Francois started the following season as a first choice in Marco Silva’s midfield, impressing enough to earn a new contract at Craven Cottage. The Campbelltown-born midfielder had loan spells with HNK Gorica and Vejle Boldklub in Denmark before joining Wigan Athletic on a free transfer in July 2024.
