David Stockdale believes Fulham can finish in the Premier League’s top ten after Martin Jol swooped to sign Scott Parker from Tottenham.

The goalkeeper, who is expected to deputise for the injured Maarten Stekelenburg against Arsenal on Saturday, says there’s a feelgood factor around the club after their battling opening-day win at Sunderland last weekend. Stockdale believes Fulham’s eight summer signings have added real depth to the squad and feels they can better last season’s twelfth place finish:

We aim for the top ten every year and that’s exactly what the gaffer wants us to do. We were disappointed about last year with the way we ended and he looked at places we can improve on, and I think we have improved with the signings we have made.

We’ve made a couple of great signings to add to an already good squad. What a capture Scott is for us. We have just got Darren Bent on loan, then Scott Parker, and two signings in a week like that for Fulham is good news. There are good times ahead.
