Fulham and Crystal Palace are both preparing to offer Ezequiel Schelotto an opportunity to end his nightmare spell at Inter Milan with a move to the Premier League.

New coach Walter Mazzarri left the Italian international out of Inter’s pre-season tour to America and has told the 24 year-old that he is free to look for another club, despite only joining the Nerazzurri in January. The winger struggled to live up to the £5m that Inter paid Atalanta for his signature, despite scoring in the Milan derby, and the 24 year-old, who made his international debut against England last August, would be available on loan, with an option for a permanent transfer.

Martin Jol is a long-term admirer of Schelotto and Fulham were heavily linked with the winger in January before his move to Inter. Both Fulham and Palace will face stiff competition from a number of European clubs, according to reports from Italy.
